How often should I pump my septic tank?

Your septic system should be pumped every 3-5 years based off of household usage. The more people in the house the sooner it needs to be cleaned. This prevents sludge transfer to the pump tank on aerobic systems as well as preventing sludge transfer to the field lines on a conventional system.

Tideland is an authorized dealer for Bio- Clean. Adding a bacteria to your septic system is a vital part of the septic operations. The bacteria helps the solids break down in the system as well as helping to prevent a bio-mat forming in your field lines.

How often should I change my grease traps?

Grease traps are regulated from the municipalities where the business is established. Grease traps are generally pumped every 1-3 months depending on the grease and food content that goes down the drains.
